Surface Finishing
Surface finishing applications liberate fine particles that can cling to your robots and cause degradation to seals, joints, and electrical connections. Our Robosuits® protect the robot from finishing compounds and abrasives and can help increase its lifespan and efficiency. Pressurization options can virtually eliminate the smallest dust particle infiltration. Typical applications include HVOF, peening, polishing, sanding, and blasting.

The Material Matters
Material choice for your custom Robosuit will be chosen based on your specific application, and environment.
Fire-Retardant Vinyls
This general-purpose material is fluid-resistant and can withstand ambient temperatures of up to 120℉/50℃.
Hypalons
This material provides grit and blast protection. It is exceptionally abrasion-resistant and can withstand ambient temperatures of up to 240℉/115℃.
Isotherm
This material provides weld, spark, and spatter protection and is UV-resistant. It can withstand ambient temperatures of up to 500℉/260℃ or intermittently (<15 seconds) up to 700℉/370℃.
Siliconized
Fiberglass/Silicas
This material provides blast panel and thermal protection and can withstand ambient temperatures of up to 1800℉/982℃.
Teflon
This material comes in laminate or woven form, is chemical resistant, and can withstand ambient temperatures of up to 500℉/260℃.
Aramids
This material is used in high-temperature environments. It will not melt and can withstand ambient temperatures of up to 1250℉/675℃.
