Washdown environments create pathways for fluid infiltration which can lead to contamination of greases/lubricants, chemical degradation of seals, joints, electrical connections and plastics commonly found on robots. Our Robosuits® protect your robot from the elements of this extreme environment and help to increase the lifespan and efficiency of your washdown operation.
We pay special attention to Robosuit architecture in washdown applications by employing flap-protected zippers, directional overlapping suit connections which shed water away from the robot (no matter if the robot is operating in a floor-mount or inverted orientation), pressurization options to keep the robot within RH-limits established by your OEM, and through the use of integral vents and drains. Left unprotected, caustic chemicals, degreasers, and corrosion inhibitors will quickly destroy seals, paint, electrical connections, and more.
