The Material Matters
Material choice for your custom Robosuit will be chosen based on your specific application, and environment.
Fire-Retardant Vinyls
This general-purpose material is fluid-resistant and can withstand ambient temperatures of up to 120℉/50℃.
Hypalons
This material provides grit and blast protection. It is exceptionally abrasion-resistant and can withstand ambient temperatures of up to 240℉/115℃.
Isotherm
This material provides weld, spark, and spatter protection and is UV-resistant. It can withstand ambient temperatures of up to 500℉/260℃ or intermittently (<15 seconds) up to 700℉/370℃.
Siliconized
Fiberglass/Silicas
This material provides blast panel and thermal protection and can withstand ambient temperatures of up to 1800℉/982℃.
Teflon
This material comes in laminate or woven form, is chemical resistant, and can withstand ambient temperatures of up to 500℉/260℃.
Aramids
This material is used in high-temperature environments. It will not melt and can withstand ambient temperatures of up to 1250℉/675℃.
